Louise Chapman

Originally from the UK, I was introduced to dancing at the age of 9 as a way to satisfy my need for physical activity.

It wasn’t long before I realized that I had a natural flare for performance and so I became a dedicated and passionate acrobatics and jazz/hip hop dancer.

I later studied contemporary modern, ballet and tap dancing in order to fulfill my wish of becoming a complete artist. After training at Phil Winston’s Theatreworks, where I developed and nurtured my drama and singing skills, I gained qualifications as a IDTA (International Dance Teacher’s Association) dance teacher and am a Licenciate member in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Theatre Craft, but I also teach Acrobatics, HIp Hop, Musical Theatre, Commercial Jazz and Contemporary.

I see teaching as a delight because it allows me to express my love for choreography as well as pass on and share my passion and performing skills to other aspiring artists.

I have 16 years experience as a dance teacher not only in the UK but also different countries that I had the luxury of teaching in Budapest, (Hungary) and Bahrain (the Middle East) opening three dance schools in Manama, the captial City.

I am now excited to bring this inspired IDTA syllabus to Australia!
